False Sense of Security

I’ve felt fairly confident in my label-reading abilities.  I thought I was pretty savvy in my knowledge of healthy ingredients and made good choices for my family.

What happens, though, when the labels are blatantly inaccurate in their listing of ingredients?  In fact, some of the listed ingredients aren’t even included and others, not listed, are included.

The New York Times reported: “The New York State attorney general’s office accused four national retailers on Monday of selling dietary supplements that were fraudulent and in many cases contaminated with unlisted ingredients.”  (Click on the link below to read the story.)
